Headliner Application – 2027 Season

Thank you for your interest in headlining RimoVision Comedy Night at Second Story Theatre in Hermosa Beach.

RimoVision Group is a nonprofit theatre company dedicated to producing high-quality live entertainment and creating meaningful arts experiences for the South Bay community. Our comedy series features carefully curated talent in an intimate theatre setting designed to showcase stand-up comedy at its best.

We are currently accepting applications from established comedians interested in serving as featured headliners during our 2027 season.

About the Opportunity

​

RimoVision Comedy Night is a professionally produced theatre event, not an open mic or bar show. Each performance is programmed with a curated lineup and marketed as a complete entertainment experience for our patrons and supporters.

Headliners are selected not only for the quality of their material, but also for their professionalism, audience engagement, and ability to contribute to a successful live event.

Performances take place at Second Story Theatre, an intimate cabaret-style venue seating approximately 20-40 audience members.

 

Headliner Expectations

Selected headliners are expected to:

• Perform 30-45 minutes of polished, professional material

• Deliver a strong, audience-focused performance suitable for a theatre environment

• Maintain a professional and respectful stage presence

• Arrive on time and fully prepared for the performance

• Participate in promotional efforts leading up to the event

• Provide a customized short promotional video for marketing purposes

• Remain available and committed to the agreed-upon performance date

Because audiences purchase tickets with the expectation of seeing a featured comedian, reliability and professionalism are essential.

 

Compensation

​

Headliner compensation ranges from $75-$200, based on experience, professional credits, audience draw, and overall fit for the event.

In addition to the guaranteed performance fee:

• Headliners may qualify for additional ticket-sale bonuses.

• Bonus structures and eligibility will be outlined in the performance agreement upon selection.

• Payment is issued following the performance.

Strong promotional participation may be considered when evaluating future headline opportunities and compensation.

Promotion & Audience Development

​

As a nonprofit arts organization, RimoVision Group relies on collaborative marketing efforts to build successful events.

Selected headliners are expected to actively promote their appearance through available platforms, which may include:

• Social media posts

• Story content and event shares

• Email newsletters (when applicable)

• Website or podcast promotion

• Tagging and collaborating with RimoVision Group on promotional content

• Providing a short custom video invitation for use in advertising and social media campaigns

We view promotion as a partnership and value performers who actively engage with their audience.

Application Requirements

 

To be considered for a headlining opportunity, please submit:

1. Professional headshot

2. Short professional bio

3. Social media handles and relevant online presence

4. A recent stand-up comedy performance clip (minimum 3-5 minutes)

5. Confirmation that you currently have 20-30 minutes of headline-ready material

6. Any notable comedy credits, festival appearances, podcasts, television, radio, or production experience (optional but encouraged)

Selection Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the season.

Selection decisions are based on several factors, including:

• Quality and originality of material

• Stage presence and audience connection

• Professionalism and reliability

• Promotional engagement

• Overall fit with the event and audience

Selected comedians will be contacted directly regarding available dates and performance opportunities.

Terms & Conditions

​

Please review the following prior to submitting:

• RimoVision Group contracts directly with performers. If you are represented, please consult with your agent or manager before accepting an engagement.

• Because RimoVision Group invests in advertising, printing, and promotional campaigns in advance, cancellations after confirmation may significantly impact the event and future booking consideration.

• Performances may be recorded. Headliners will receive a complimentary video copy of their set when available.

• By participating, you grant RimoVision Group permission to use performance footage, photographs, and promotional materials for marketing, advertising, and archival purposes.

• Future opportunities, including hosting, featured appearances, and returning headliner engagements, may be offered based on performance, professionalism, and audience response.
