STAND-UP COMEDIANS
RimoVision Group is excited to announce our upcoming Comedy Night Fundraiser at Second Story Theatre in Hermosa Beach, California. We’re calling on stand-up comedians—both emerging and established—to bring their best material to the stage for an evening of laughter and community support.
This event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, with a single show starting at 7:00 PM. Each selected comedian will receive an 8-minute performance slot. We are curating a diverse lineup of comedic voices and welcome both clean and adult material that is respectful of our broad audience.
Performer Appreciation
While this is a fundraiser for our nonprofit theatre company, we are pleased to offer a performer incentive:
Comedians will be paid $5 for every two tickets sold in their name after the sixth ticket sold.
We encourage performers to promote the event and share ticket links when tagged, helping us expand visibility and fill the house for a great cause.

Recording Agreement:
The event will be recorded, and all performers will receive a free video copy of their set as a thank-you.
RimoVision Group may use short, non-substantive clips (such as audience reactions or greetings) for marketing purposes. Full joke content will not be used without your explicit permission.
Please read carefully the following statement:
RimoVision Group enters agreements directly with performers, not through agents or managers. If you are represented, please consult with your representative before committing.
Because we invest in marketing and promotional materials for each event, cancellations after a performer is included in the lineup create additional costs and challenges. As a fundraiser, this event supports the mission of our nonprofit theatre, and your full participation helps ensure its success.
We look forward to reviewing your submission and creating an unforgettable night of comedy and community.

Role: HANK
Gender: Male
Age Range: 30–38
Ethnicity: Open
Physical Characteristics: Strikingly handsome in a natural, understated way—think clean-cut meets rugged. Effortlessly attractive but not flashy, with a calm, observant presence. Dresses in casual but well-put-together clothes that reflect a small-town charm with quiet confidence.
Personality:
Hank is the manager of the local general store, and the kind of guy who seems harmless—until you realize he might know a lot more than he lets on. Dry-witted, low-key flirtatious, and highly private. He’s polite, but cautious, with a sardonic sense of humor and a taste for good cheese and organized files with disturbingly personal names. He has strong opinions but rarely shares them unless prompted. Though reserved, he’s compelling—people underestimate him, but shouldn’t.
Character Arc:
Initially, Hank appears to be a background local character with funny one-liners and odd quirks. But as the mystery deepens, Hank proves to be a critical gatekeeper of information. His guardedness masks deeper layers—he knows more than he shares and becomes entangled in the protagonist’s pursuit of truth. By the end, his character shifts from comic relief to a shadowy, possibly complicit figure in the conspiracy. Whether he’s protecting someone or himself remains up for interpretation.
Role Size:
Supporting. Appears in pivotal scenes in both acts. Shares the stage with lead characters and delivers both comedic and dramatic beats. Requires a strong sense of timing, subtle emotional shifts, and the ability to balance charm with mystery.
Please use the sides provided below to submit your self-tape. Begin with a slate stating your full name and current city. Submissions must be received by Thursday, May 22, 2025.
